Architect Mark Odom, Mark odom studio, designed by Inglewood Residence with all the pit to American modernism and aesthetics mid-century modern. Grid partitions, light walls and a pebble on the roof were one of the characteristic features of the houses of the 1950s. Residence of 223 square meters. the meter is designed to preserve existing trees growing on the site. The garage is located in front of a small courtyard. Architects built an elongated volume on one side of the site to make room for open areas. The living room, kitchen and dining room are located in such a way that they are between the front and back yards. The third courtyard is located next to the kitchen, behind sliding glass doors that transmit a lot of natural light. House — one-story, with a small mezzanine. Some minor level variations are created to emphasize different zones. For example, a staircase of three steps separates the hallway from the main residential area. Another step leads from the kitchen down to two bedrooms. The master bedroom and utility room are located at a higher level in the back of the house.
The floor is covered with terrazzo made using 816 kg of colored glass. The inner walls are painted white. Parts such as kitchen furniture and stair steps are accentuated with wood. In the living room, a brick fireplace and furniture ( curved sofa ) accurately recreate the atmosphere of the mid-20th century. The photographs depict an old Thunderbird parked near the house: the oldtime emphasizes the nostalgic style of the project even more strongly.
