The influential edition of Frame is its short list of the most popular articles on interiors, noting the achievements of the five designers in the spirit of recent times. Almost all of them explore the idea of coliving — cohabitation in modern urban conditions.
1. The collective
The Collective company promotes its understanding of the urban lifestyle. Their 2023 project is — hotel in London, which offers 705 rooms available for rent from one night to 12 months. The interior team focused on providing the highest possible level of service, working with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill.
2. Toledano + Architect
The Wood Ribbon — project is a typical Parisian apartment in the Ottoman style: the rooms are spacious and sunny. The floor is lined with parquet « ». A bright feature of the apartment — curved wooden partition, which passes through the entire living space and makes traditional housing supermodern.
3. Proctor & Shaw
On an area of 75 square meters. meters, architects elegantly separated the two bedrooms from the living rooms with a wall from the floor to the ceiling, hiding utility rooms, built-in appliances and storage. The project supports high visual standards in everything.
4. Ministry of design
It took only four months for the Ministry of Design to have the interior, originally planned as office, in a series of apartments for rent for a period of three to twelve months.
5. Middle East Architecture Network (MEAN)
The Co-Cross project, created by the Dubai company Middle East Architecture Network (MEAN) for the USM contest, — is « a machine for work and life ». The concept is based on a cross-shaped module in which there are no rooms. The idea is that Co-Cross can be installed in any empty space and quickly turn it into a functional installation using USM section cubes.
