Swiss designer David Girelli has designed a collection inspired by the Art Deco aesthetic, the last great style of the 20th century, for the Russian brand Dantone Home. At the same time, the models are conceived as universal, able to fit into interiors in different styles: from art deco and American classics to minimalism and mid-century
The design is based on the contrast between the graphic, strict lines of the legs and bases – they are distinguished by a dark walnut finish with an expressive wood texture – and the soft upholstery, made of bouclé fabric that is pleasant to the touch. However, models can be customized by choosing velvety textiles, utilitarian matting and other fabrics from the extensive Dantone Home collection.

The collection includes four chairs, each of which has individual features. The most restrained image of the model without armrests “Davis”. The “Fulton” backrest refers to the traditional Art Deco stepped forms. The design of the chair “Boulder” reinterprets the classic image of the chair. And “Roger” has a back to itself, which seems to hug the person sitting. Thanks to the same finishes, the models harmonize with each other, but also stand out convincingly solo.
