Luca Nichetto presented the new Onde collection for the Spanish brand Gandia Blasco . This modular series of sofas and armchairs can be used both outdoors and indoors. The furniture was designed in strict accordance with the trend for flexible use of furnishings. The laconic design of all Onde items is appropriate on verandas and terraces, and is suitable for minimalist interiors.
The Onde line includes modules of different sizes, from an armchair to a three-seater sofa – they can be with or without armrests. Each unit can be used alone or in combination with others to form a larger seating system. “The idea for such a collection arose as a result of studying and observing how the outdoor furniture market is changing and how people use outdoor furniture,” comments the designer. “This is a universal collection that, in addition to its main purpose, can also be easily integrated into the interior.”
The structure used to support the cushions is a geometric base made of corrugated aluminum sheets mounted on short legs. The metal frame and upholstery can be painted in different shades at the request of the user. In total, Onde has 14 items; in addition to various seats, it includes a pouffe and tables of different shapes (there are five in total): this allows you to configure the space as variably as possible.
