Gallery «Nakovlnya» opens a new exhibition project concentrated on the game industry. The name reflects the widespread criticism of games, which have become integral to visual culture and art but are often seen as “time-wasting.” Artists working with the topic invite viewers to dialogue so everyone can express their for and against.
Moreover, Russian authors, influenced by computer games, create works using traditional, not digital, techniques. The exposition features Dima Gorbunov, Alexander Krylov, Inna Kryzhanovskaya, Anton and Artem Matveev, Hassan Mustafa, Mikhail Rubankov, and Ani Feldman. The exhibition also involves an interactive part: the gallery will temporarily become a game club where you can get acquainted with cult stories.
At «Archstates» 2023, the Utro architectural bureau announced the “A Waste of Time” project, unveiling several future exposition works in the game hay pavilion for the gallery.
